Jaipur ....

Baboo our driver with two pretty girls

We had to get up at daft o'clock to go for our elephant ride up to the Amber Fort, we attempted breakfast but the waiters were all asleep in what looked like a storeroom behind the restaurant!

To see the elephants all lined up is quite spectacular, but one of the most uncomfortable rides I've ever had ;)
We went to a nearby restaurant for some coffee and eggs before a trip to a fascinating place called Janter Manter. An observatory that used huge masonry instruments which tell the time to within 2 seconds, all this and built in the late 1700's. This is the biggest clock of its kind in the world
A giant sundial and it works

Also had a look at Birla Temple where there were 3 weddings, no funeral.

Had  lunch at Niros,Imette a chef who himself knows in the UK recommended the Butter Chicken, it was yummy but we could have had poppadums from this guy :)

This place is full of sights, enough for a few days more...
